Google Reviews Tool: Send Customers Your Google Review Link

The Google Reviews Tool connects your Google Business Profile to your TailorTalk agent. The agent can then send customers the link that opens Google's review form for your business, on WhatsApp, Instagram or your website.

Setting Up the Google Reviews Tool

  1. Open your agent's tools and choose Google Reviews.
  2. Click + Connect Google Business Profile and sign in with the Google account that owns or manages your Business Profile.
  3. Allow TailorTalk to manage your Business Profile. TailorTalk uses this access only to read your locations and their review links.
  4. Pick the locations the agent can send review links for. A location is greyed out until it is live on Google Maps, because Google only gives a review link to a verified, published listing.
  5. If you pick more than one location, add a short note to each one saying when the agent should use it, for example "Orders from our Andheri store".
  6. In the description box, tell the agent when to ask for a review, for example: "Once the customer confirms their order has arrived, ask how it went and share the review link."
  7. Save the tool.

Each location has an Open review link button, so you can check the link before your customers see it.

How Your Agent Uses It

  • The agent sends the review link Google provides for your location. It opens Google's review form, where the customer picks a star rating and writes the review in their own words.
  • With several locations, the agent asks the customer which branch they visited when it can't tell from the conversation.
  • The agent never offers anything in return for a review, and never suggests a rating or what to write.

Staying Within Google's Review Rules

Google removes reviews that break its rules and can restrict a Business Profile that keeps breaking them, for example by blocking new reviews for a while. Google's policy does not allow you to:

  • offer discounts, free items or any other reward in exchange for a review,
  • ask only happy customers for a review (sometimes called review gating),
  • discourage or block negative reviews.

Write your instructions so the agent asks every customer at the same point in the conversation, not only the ones who seem satisfied.

Reconnecting

To use a different Google account, or to add a location you created after connecting, open the tool and click Reconnect. Your saved locations stay picked when you reconnect the same account. If saving shows that Google access has expired or was removed, click Reconnect and sign in again.
